My Ever Increasing Want to Read List

Standard

I’m sure that I’m not alone in having a want to read list that keeps expanding no matter how many books I read a year.  Currently, my Goodreads Want to Read List is 569 books long.  That’s actually longer than my Read list at the moment, but that’s because I didn’t start tracking what I’d read on Goodreads until the last several years and I never remember to add every single book I read.  I’ve added favorite books from before then, and anything else as I come across it, but I haven’t made a concerted effort to fill in all the books I’d read in the previous decades of my life.

For the second day of my challenge, we have B is for Books.

As a writer, books are a big part of my life.  I read books, I write books, and I share books with others.  In the end, it all comes back to books.

Reading is one of the most important things I can do as a writer.  It is second only to writing in the absolute must do list for learning and practicing the craft of writing.  In honor of that I’d like to give you a list of some of the books and authors who have inspired me the most over the years.
