Welcome to the world of my words and thanks for stopping by.
I have been many things in my life. I’ve been a student, a retail clerk, a graduate assistant, a teacher, and an IT tech. But through all of that, I have always been a storyteller. Granted, I didn’t start writing them down until I was in middle school, but I’ve been making up stories for as long as I can remember.
Being a writer and storyteller is more than just something I do. It’s who I am. I’m always looking for ideas and inspiration, and if you look closely I’m sure you’ll find a great many of my friends and family hiding in my fiction (some more thinly disguised than others), conversations I’ve overheard, and major challenges that I’ve faced in my own life.
I live in Raleigh, NC these days, but it’s far from where I grew up. I was born in Pennsylvanian and lived in New York and Michigan before landing in North Carolina. I’m an unrepentant Yankee living in the South and trying to avoid all the fried food.
I’m happily married to a wonderful man who is as much or more of a geek than I am. He keeps me informed about all the memes I’m missing (the really good ones at least) and sends me pictures of the strange things cats, Jordy and Julio, do when I’m not around.
Outside of writing, I can be many things. I’m an amateur seamstress and jewelry maker. I love attending Renaissance Festivals and other such events. I’m a supporter of equality in all things and for all people. I’m a voracious reader of multiple genres. I’m a board game geek. I love watching my husband play RPG video games (it’s like a super long semi-interactive movie). I’m an anime and manga fan. I’m a cat lover and occasionally a cat toy if you ask the cats. And I love discovering new things to do and enjoy.
