Week four of NaNoWriMo is almost done! Only two full days left! We’re on day 28 and sprinting for the finish!
Let’s recap my weekly word counts so far:
The end of Day 7: 22,479 total for an average of 3,211
The end of Day 14: 32,839 total for an average of 2,345
The end of Day 21: 49,843 total for an average of 2,373
Going into the last day of week four:
The end of Day 27: 62,857 total for an average of 2,328
It’s been an amazing journey and I’ve been typing out new words faster than I was expecting this year. It’s been a busy month, but I found the time to get the words in and finish early.
I hope the rest of you are either celebrating your victories, or pushing hard for those last few hundred words. Even if you aren’t, you still have more words than you started the month with. Whether you end on day 30 with 50k+ or only a few thousand, you took the journey and worked hard. Congratulations on an amazing NaNoWriMo this year!
Fun facts from week 4:
My word cloud so far:
The thing I struggled with the most this month:
Finding enough scenes to get my 50k. I finally decided that the project just didn’t need that many words, so I finished my novella and went on to other writing projects and short prompts, one of which sparked a whole new novel idea I’ve been working on for the past week.
My favorite line of dialog so far:
“But Elena,” Kari protested.
“Is not going to die tonight,” the man responded.
What I think should be on the cover for this book:
I think there should be an obviously growing and changing tree. And maybe the silhouettes of a child and a woman.
My fasted sprint for the week:
1,133 words in 20 minutes for 56 words per minute.
My fastest sprint for the month:
982 words in 15 minutes for 65 words per minute.
